Sundance Sales: Rolling the Dice
Winter 2001
Sales were slow initially but picked up during the week.
After the bidding wars of the late 1990s, however, distributors wisely kept their checks
relatively modest. According to indieWIRE, Nicole Guillemet has corroborated the
rumor that Sundance is casting about for a new future location. TFE assumes that
the festival is established enough that distributors will come even if they
can't ski; they might even see some screenings in theaters as opposed to on videos in their condos.
